When Bricks are Beautiful
Our lime was chosen by Openstudio Architects for the prestigious Westminster Fire Station development. The combination of Danish and handmade glazed bricks gives depth and texture to the new building. Our mortar elevates this further providing texture, grain and a perfect colour match. The finished scheme is incredible and proves what inspirational materials brick and lime are together.
Barn Walls
Could you imagine building a stone wall with anything other than lime mortar? No neither can we. This most traditional wall forms the boundary of a renovated barn in Shropshire.
Chelsea Flower Show
This may only have been a temporary wall, constructed specifically for the RHS Chelsea Flower show but the skills of the team that built it show just how amazing lime looks as it mellows. The build team deliberately aged the wall for the show using a number of techniques, including using soil to make it dirtier, designed to mimic ageing. It really highlights lime’s timeless beauty, complements the handmade bricks and the entire garden. It looks like it’s been there forever.
